I LIVE
Listen to that sound the reminder of the past.
Remember it well …what was and should not have been.
Feel the energy flow stretching you to your limits, then reflect…
Do not be tempted to live again.
Just tell the stories well.
Open the windows and let the conduits of conscience see…. For their time is not far.
Give of your essence that is pure, because it is the beacon within the smog of time, then reflect…
You know what was and the possibility of what can be. But a broken spirit exists only in limbo, ravaged by the storm of uncertainty. Nurture with love the freedom that belongs to the bringer of memories and see only how you will forever live, then reflect…
On how you enjoy being in the park watching your children play.

Ahh, so true. We cannot - and shouldn’t live in the past, only learn what we can from our memory of it. What matters is the now, the present moment, to live it and to live it well. I like this one very much, ESPECIALLY the last line. Nice touch, Bobby. Well done!
Oh Bobby, i love this one, to be honest with u, sometimes im trapped in the past…i do try to get out of it at times but most times the emotions are overwhelming.
Your poem is like a breathe of fresh air….thanks
